Observing Run, CFHT, Hawaii

Recently I had the chance to observe on the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope
(CFHT) on the Mauna Kea, one of the famous telescopes of the world.
This was my second observing run of my Canadian PhD,
together with my advisor Prof. Marshall McCall from York University.
All pictures were taken on the Big Island of Hawaii bewteen Feb 27-Mar 6, 2002.

In Jan 2002 my friend and former colleague Dr. Mirel Birlan with Dr. Binzel (US)
conducted the first remote observing run on NASA's IRTF from Europe
(Obs de Meudon, France, 12000 Km away)..
Under the CFH Telescope! Two happy observers (the observing room) I have observed on the CFHT (3.6m)! Lisa, our first observing assistant A Romanian on the Mauna Kea!
